How to multiply Fractions?

Multiplication of Fractions:

To multiply two fractions $\frac{a}{b}$ and $\frac{c}{d}$ we multiply the numerators of both the numbers and denominators of both the numbers.

$\frac{a}{b} \times  \frac{c}{d} =  \frac{a \times c}{b \times d} =  \frac{ac}{bd}$.

For example,

$\frac{1}{3} \times  \frac{7}{10} =  \frac{1 \times 7}{3 \times 10} =  \frac{7}{30}$.
