How do domestic animals differ from wild animals?

Domestic animals such as cows, goats, sheep, etc actually depend on humans for survival. The relationship is a mutual one. We raise dogs to guard and dogs need us for food. Similarly, we need cows for milk. Whereas wild animals don't need humans to survive. In fact, wild animals discern humans as predators.
