How cell reproduce?
Our cells reproduce so that we may grow and regenerate. Cell division is the process by which a parent cell divides into two or more daughter cells. The division of cells usually occurs as part of a larger cell cycle. The cell is reproduced by two different types: 1. Mitosis- It is the process by which a cell splits into two genetically identical copies each having the same number and kind of chromosomes as the parent nucleus is called mitosis. 2. Meiosis- It is a special type of cell division in sexually-reproducing organisms where a single cell divides twice to produce four cells containing half the original amount of genetic information. These cells are our sex cells – used to produce the gametes sperm in males, eggs in females.
