How can we identify independent and dependent variables in an algebraic equation?
Solution:
Independent variable:
An independent variable is exactly what it means. It is a variable that stands alone and isn't changed by the other variables you are trying to measure
Dependent variable:
A dependent variable represents a quantity whose value depends on how the independent variable is manipulated.
Example: $ y = mx + c$
In this equation of a straight line, x is an independent variable while y is the dependent variable. Values of y depend on the values of x. You input the values of x to get the corresponding values of y as output
