A conductor is a substance through which heat transfers very quickly.

Most of the metals are good conductors of heat.

For example, Copper, iron, aluminum, etc are good conductors of heat.

Whereas, an insulator is a substance through which heat transfers very slowly. For example, wood, plastic, glass, etc are insulators of heat.
