To find: Here we have to find the value of perpendicular. 

Solution:

We know that in right angle triangles we can use Pythagoras theorem:

(Base)² $+$ (Perpendicular)² = (Hypotenuse)² 

6² $+$ x² = 10²  

36 $+$ x² = 100

x² = 100 $-$ 36

x² = 64

x = 8

Therefore, the value of x is 8 cm.
