Given: Surface area of the cube is $6\ cm^2$.

To do: To find the side of the cube.

Solution:

Let $a$ be the side of  the cube.

$\therefore$ Surface Area of the cube$=6a^2$

$\Rightarrow 6a^2=6$

$\Rightarrow   a^2=\frac{6}{6}$

$\Rightarrow a^2=1$

$\Rightarrow a=\sqrt{1}$

$\Rightarrow a=1$
