Find the mean of each of the following frequency distribution:
Class interval: | 10-30 | 30-50 | 50-70 | 70-90 | 90-110 | 110-130 |
Frequency: | 5 | 8 | 12 | 20 | 3 | 2. |
To do:
We have to find the mean of the given frequency distribution.
Solution:
Let the assumed mean be $A=60$
We know that,
Mean $=A+\frac{\sum{f_id_i}}{\sum{f_i}}$
Therefore,
Mean $=60+\frac{280}{50}$
$=60+5.6$
$=65.6$
The mean of the given frequency distribution is $65.6$.
