Find the mean of each of the following frequency distribution:
Class interval: | 0-8 | 8-6 | 16-24 | 24-32 | 32-40 |
Frequency: | 6 | 7 | 10 | 8 | 9. |
To do:
We have to find the mean of the given frequency distribution.
Solution:
Let the assumed mean be $A=20$
We know that, Mean $=A+\frac{\sum{f_id_i}}{\sum{f_i}}$
Therefore,
Mean $=20+\frac{56}{40}$
$=20+\frac{14}{10}$
$=20+1.4$
$=21.4$
The mean of the given frequency distribution is $21.4$.
