Factorize $35x^2+12x+1=0$.

Given: $35x^2+12x+1=0$

To do: To factorize the given equation.

Solution:

$35x^2+12x+1=0$

using the method of splitting the middle term

$\Rightarrow 35x^2+7x+5x+1=0$

$\Rightarrow 7x( 5x+1)+1( 5x+1)=0$

$\Rightarrow ( 7x+1)( 5x+1)=0$

As $( 7x+1)$ and $( 5x+1)$ are factors of the equation

$\therefore ( 7x+1)=0$ and $( 5x+1)=0$

If $7x+1=0$

$\Rightarrow x=-\frac{1}{7}$

If $5x+1=0$

$\Rightarrow x=-\frac{1}{5}$
