Express the following linear equations in the form $ax + by + c = 0$ and indicate the values of $a, b$ and $c$ in each case:
$3x = -7y$
Given:
$3x = -7y$
To do:
We have to express the given linear equation in the form $ax + by + c = 0$ and indicate the values of $a, b$ and $c$.
Solution:
$3x = -7y$
$\Rightarrow 3x+7y+0=0$
Comparing it with $ax+by+c=0$, we get,
$a= 3, b = 7$ and $c = 0$.
The values of $a, b$ and $c$ are $3, 7$ and $0$ respectively.
