Explain why, it is dangerous to inhale air containing carbon monoxide.
Inhalation of carbon monoxide is dangerous because Carbon monoxide combines with hemoglobin and forms carboxyhemoglobin. This carboxyhemoglobin binds strongly with hemoglobin and replaces oxygen from the blood and prevents it from carrying oxygen to the brain and other parts of the body. Due to the lack of oxygen, a person may have trouble breathing and may also die. This is why it is dangerous to inhale air containing carbon monoxide.
