Evaluate the following and express the answer as a mixed fraction.
"
Given :
The given expression is $9 ÷ 2 \frac{3}{4}$.
To do :
We have to express the given expression in its simplest form.
Solution :
We know that,
$(\frac{a}{b}) ÷ (\frac{c}{d}) = (\frac{a}{b}) \times (\frac{d}{c})$
$9 ÷ 2 \frac{3}{4} = 9 ÷ \frac{(2\times 4+3)}{4}$
$= 9 ÷ \frac{(8+3)}{4}$
$= \frac{9}{1} ÷\frac{11}{4}$
$= \frac{9}{1} \times \frac{4}{11}$
$= \frac{(9\times 4)}{(1\times 11)}$
$= \frac{36}{11}$
$\frac{36}{11} = \frac{(11\times 3+3)}{11}$
$=3 \frac{3}{11}$
Therefore, $9 ÷ 2 \frac{3}{4}$ in simplest form is $3 \frac{3}{11}$.
