Draw the graph of each of the following linear equations in two variables.
\( x-y=2 \)
Given:
The given equation is \( x-y=2 \).
To do:
We have to draw the graph of the given linear equation in two variables.
Solution:
To represent the above equation graphically we need at least two solutions for the given equation.
For equation $x-y=2$,
$y=x-2$
If $x=0$ then $y=0-2=-2$
If $x=2$ then $y=2-2=0$
$x$ | $0$ | $2$ |
$y$ | $-2$ | $0$ |
Plot the points $A(0, -2)$ and $B(2, 0)$ on the graph and join them to get the graph of the given equation.
