Here is the importance of 2 more plant fibres other than Jute and Cotton.
1. Coir is coconut fibre. It is a natural fibre extracted from the outer husk of the coconut. It is used to make products such as floor mats, doormats, brushes and mattresses.
2. Silk Cotton, a fibre obtained from the silk-cotton tree also called kapok. The fruits of the kapok tree contain fibres that are light and fluffy. When the fruit ripens, it bursts open releasing the fibres. It is used as a stuffing in pillows, sleeping bags and life jackets.
