Define the term 'Insectivorous Plant'.
Insectivorous plants are also known as carnivorous plants. Such plants grow in places where the soil is poor in nutrients like nitrogen. These insectivorous plants feed on small insects, rodents, flies, and some arthropods to obtain most of the nutrients essential for their survival.
These plants are usually colorful to attract their prey. Examples include Venus flytrap, pitcher plants, cape sundew, and many more. They have various trapping mechanisms like-

2. Flypaper traps
3. Snap traps
4. Bladder traps
5. Lobster-pot traps
6. Combination traps
7. Borderline carnivores
