Define atomicity, and state the atomicity of oxygen and argon.
Atomicity can be defined as the total number of atoms that constitute a molecule.
Each molecule of oxygen (O2) is consists of two oxygen atoms. So atomicity of oxygen is 2.
Each molecule of argon (Ar) contains 1 atom, therefore atomicity of Argon is 1.
