Given: Carol wanted to serve her guests chilled mixed fruit juice. She prepared 3.5 L of mango juice , 1.75 L of grape juice, and 4.5 L of orange juice. To this, she added 0.25 L of chilled water.
To do: To find that how much will she serve each of her 15 guests if each guest is given the same amount of mixed fruit juice ?
Solution:
Mango juice$=3.5\ L$
Grape juice$=1.75\ L$
Orange juice$=4.5\ L$
Chilled water$=0.25\ L$
Total mixed fruit juice$=3.5\ L+1.75\ L+4.5\ L+0.25\ L$
$=10\ L$
Number of guests$=15$
Therefore, service per guest$=\frac{10}{15}$
$=\frac{2}{3}$
$0.666....\ L$
