Can we call Fission as fragmentation?
Fission and fragmentation are different from each other.
Fragmentation is the asexual mode of reproduction in which multicellular organism splits into two or more fragments, which develops into a new organism e.g., spirogyra.
Fission is the asexual mode of reproduction in which unicellular organisms split into two (binary) or more (multiple) daughter cells. These daughter cells develop and survive as individuals e.g., amoeba (binary fission) and plasmodium (multiple fission).
