Calculate the value of โ$g$โ acceleration due to gravity on the earth.
$g$ is the acceleration of the gravity.
We know the formula, $g=G\frac{M}{R^2}$
As known, constant value $( G)=6.67\times10^{-11}$
Mass of earth $( M)=6\times 10^{24}\ kg$
Radius of the earth $( R)=6.4\times 10^6\ km$
On substituting the above values in above equation
$g=6.67\times10^{-11}\times\frac{6\times 10^{24}}{( 6.4\times 10^6)^2}$
Or $g=9.8$ [approximate value on solving]
The value of $g = 9.8\ m/s^2$.
