Length of 1 unit on Y-axis $=$ 20 thousand $=$ 0.2 Lakhs.
From the figure,
(a) Age groups that have the same population :
30-44 and 45-59 age groups have the same population.
(b) Total number of senior citizens :
Total number of senior citizens $= 0.8\ Lakh + 0.4\ Lakh = 1.2\ Lakhs$.
The number of senior citizens is 1.2 lakhs.
