Boojho with perfect eyesight was finding it difficult to pass a thread through the eye of a needle. What can be the possible reason for this?
The end of the thread is sometimes separated into a few thin strands or the thread was quite thick. Hence, Boojho found it difficult to pass a thread through the eye of a needle.
A yarn or a thread can be of different types according to their structure:
- A single yarn is produced by twisting staple fibers together.
- A ply yarn is produced by twisting two or more single yarns together.
- A cord yarn is produced by twisting two or more ply or folded yarn.
[Extra information: Yarn is a long, continuous thread made of natural or synthetic fibres. Yarns are made up of thin strands called fibres. The process of making yarn from fibres is called spinning. In this process, a mass of cotton wool is drawn out and twisted.
