I am such a nutrient in food that does not require any chemical other than a paper to identify.

Explanation- Testing fats in any food sample is very easy, that's why the test is known as the Paper Spot Test.

It is done in the following steps:-

1. Take the food sample that is to be tested.

2. Wrap the small quantity of the food in a piece of paper.

3. If the food sample that is liquid-like oil, butter, and cheese, then gently spread it on the paper, and if the food sample is solid, like dry fruits, and potato chips then crush it and wrap the paper slowly, so that paper does not get damaged.

4. Leave the paper undisturbed for 2 to 5 min aside. 

5. Now, unwrap the paper, and allow it to dry by placing it in sunlight, or near the open window for a while.

6. Now, observe the paper.

7. We can observe an oily patch on the paper because the filter paper absorbs the oil from the food sample and becomes translucent, which indicates the presence of fats in the given food sample.
