1. Fossil fuels have been formed by the decomposition of pre-historic plants and animals buried under the Earth’s crust millions of years ago.
2. Fossil fuels are non-renewable sources of energy because once exhausted they cannot be re-created in a short period of time.
3. A smelling agent is added to LPG to detect the leakage of gas as LPG is colourless and odourless gas.
4. LPG is a better fuel than coal because of the following reasons:
- It does not cause pollution.
- It has a high calorific value.
- It has a low ignition temperature.
5. Advantages of Modem Chullah over Traditional Chullah :
- It has high efficiency.
- It causes less pollution.
- It consumes less fuel.
