Area of a square wall is $ 1159929 \mathrm{~m}^{2} $. Find the side of the wall and also the cost of painting the wall at Rs.10 per $m^2$.
Given:
Area of a square wall is \( 1159929 \mathrm{~m}^{2} \).
The cost of painting the wall $=$ Rs.10 per $m^2$.
To do:
We have to find the side of the wall and also the cost of painting the wall.
Solution:
Area of a square of side $s$ is $s^2$
Let the side of the square wall be $a$.
Therefore,
Area of the square wall $=a^2$
$\Rightarrow 1159929=a^2$
$a=\sqrt{1159929}$
$a=\sqrt{(1077)^2}$
$a=1077\ m$
The cost of painting the wall $=Rs.\ 10\times1159929$
$=Rs.\ 11599290$
