An object travels 18 metres In 3 seconds and then another 18 metres in 3 seconds. What is the average speed of the object?
Given an object traveled 18 metres in 3 seconds and another 18 metres in 3 seconds.
We know that,
$Average\ speed\ =\ \frac{Total\ distance}{Total\ time} \ =\ \frac{( 18\ +\ 18)}{( 3+3)} \ =\ \frac{36}{6} \ =\ 6\ m/s.$
Hence the average speed is 6m/s.
