Add the following :
$\frac{-9}{10} + \frac{4}{-7}$

 Given :

$\frac{-9}{10} +\frac{4}{-7}$

To find :

We have to add and find the value of given expression

Solution :

We know that,

$\frac{a}{-b} =\frac{-a}{b}$                                            $ ( +) \times ( -) =( -)$

$\frac{-9}{10} +\frac{4}{-7} =\frac{-9}{10} +\left(\frac{-4}{7}\right)$

$=\frac{-9}{10} -\frac{4}{7}$

LCM of 10 and 7 is 70.

$ \frac{-9}{10} +\frac{4}{-7} =\frac{-9}{10} -\frac{4}{7}$

$=\frac{-9\times 7-4\times 10}{70}$

$=\frac{-63-40}{70}$

$=\frac{-103}{70}$

$\frac{-9}{10} +\frac{4}{-7} = \frac{-103}{70}$

Therefore the value of the expression is $\frac{-103}{70}$
