A vibrating object has a time period of 0.06 seconds. Will the sound be detected by the human ear ?give reason to support your answer
Given: A vibrating object has a time-period of 0.06 seconds.
To do: To find whether this sound be detected by the human ear or not.
Solution:
Here as given, time period $T=0.06\ seconds$
Therefore, frequency of the sound $f=\frac{1}{T}$
$=\frac{1}{0.06\ second}$
$=16.67\ Hz$
Here, the frequency of the sound is too low to be heard by human ears. So this detected sound can't be heard by the human ear.
