A square and a rectangle have the same perimeter. If the length and breadth of the rectangle are 25 cm and 15 cm respectively, find the side of the square.
Given: Perimeter of square and rectangle is same. For rectangle L=25 cm, B = 15 cm
To find : Side of square
Solution:
Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (length + breadth)
= 2(25 + 15) = 2(40) = 80 cm
Perimeter of square = Perimeter of rectangle
We know Perimeter of square = $4\times side$
$4\times side$ = 80 cm
⇒ side = 80/4
= 20 cm
