A rectangle has perimeter and length of 50 cm and 15 cm respectively. Find its breadth.
Given:
Perimeter of rectangle = 50 cm
Length = 15 cm
To Find:
Breadth of the rectangle
Solution:
Formula to find perimeter of rectangle = 2 (length $+$ breadth)
Substitute the given values in formula,
$50 = 2 (15 + breadth)$
$\frac{50}{2} = 15 + breadth$
$25 = 15 + breadth$
$25 - 15 = breadth$
$10 = breadth$
Therefore the breadth = 10 cm.
