A motorcyclist starts from rest and reaches a speed of $6\ m/s$ after travelling with uniform acceleration for $3\ second$. What is his acceleration of the motorcycle?
As given, the motorcyclist starts from rest and reaches a speed of $6\ m/s$ after travelling with uniform acceleration for $3\ second$.
Here, initial velocity $u=0$
Final velocity $v=6\ m/s$
Time $t=3\ sec.$
Let the acceleration in motorcycle be $a$.
On using the equation of motion, $v=u+at$
$6=0+3\times a$
Or $3a=6$
Or $a=\frac{6}{3}$
Or $a=2\ m/s^2$
Therefore, the acceleration in motorcycle is $2\ m/s^2$.
