A heater of resistance $50\ \Omega$ is connected to the $220\ V$ line. How much current will the heater draw?
Here given, the resistance of the heater $R=50\ \Omega$
Voltage $V=220\ V$
Therefore, current $i=\frac{V}{R}$
$=\frac{220\ V}{50\ \Omega}$
$=4.4\ A$
Therefore, the current drawn by the heater is $4.4\ A$.
