A force acts for 0.5 seconds on an object having mass 1.2kg initially at rest. The force then stops to act but the object moves through 4m in the next 2 sec. Find the magnitude of the force?
Given: u = 0 and m = 1.2kg
To find: Magnitude of force
Here V = \frac{4}{2} = 2m/s.
We know that, v = u + at
=> $2 = 0 + a \times 0.5$
=> a = 4m/s2
We know that,
F = ma
=> $1.2 \times 4 = 4.8N$
