Given: A dice is thrown once.
To do: To find the probability of getting a number less than $5$.
Solution:
When a dice is thrown once. There are six possible outcomes$=[1,\ 2,\ 3,\ 4,\ 5,\ 6]$
There are four Less than 5 Favorable outcomes $=[1,\ 2,\ 3,\ 4]$
$\therefore$ Probability of getting a number less than five$=\frac{Total\ number\ of\ possible\ outcomes}{total\ numbers\ of\ favorable\ outcomes}$
$=\frac{4}{6}$
$=\frac{2}{3}$
Thus, $\frac{2}{3}$ is the probability of getting a number less than $5$.
