A child pulls a toy car through a distance of 10 meters on a smooth, horizontal floor. The string held in the child's hand makes an angle of \( 60^{\circ} \) with the horizontal surface. If the force applied by the child be \( 5 \mathrm{~N} \), calculate the work done by the child in pulling the toy car.
Here given, applied force $F=5\ N$
Distance travelled $s=10\ meters$
The angle between the direction applied force and displacement $\theta=60^{\circ}$
Work done by the child is pulling the toy car $W=Fs\cos60^{\circ}$
$=5\times10\times\frac{1}{2}$
$=25\ Joule$
