A charge of 150 coulomb flows through a wire in one minute. Find the electric current flowing through it.
Given: Charge = 150 coulomb, Time = 1 minute
To find: Electric current
Solution:
Electric current is the amount of charge flowing in 1 second.
Therefore, $Current \ (I)= \frac{Charge \ in \ coulomb \ (Q)}{Time \ in \ seconds \ (t)}$
But, 1 minute= 60 seconds, therefore
$Current= \frac{150 \ coulomb}{60 \ seconds}$
$Current= 2.5 \ ampere$
