A body of mass 5 kg is moving with a velocity of 10 m/s. A force is applied to it so that in 25 seconds, it attains a velocity of 35 m/s. Calculate the value of the force applied.
Here given, the mass of the body $m=5\ kg$
Initial velocity $v_1=10\ m/s$
Time $t=25\ s$
Final velocity $=35\ m/s$
Therefore, acceleration $a=\frac{v_2-v_1}{t}$
$=\frac{35\ m/s-10\ m/s}{35\ s}$
$=1\ m/s$
Therefore, the force $F=ma$
$=5\ kg\times 1\ m/s$
$=5\ N$
