A body of mass $4\ kg$ initially at rest is subjected to a force of $I6\ N$. What is the kinetic energy acquired by the body at the end of $10\ s$?
Here given, mass $m=4\ kg$, Force applied $F=16\ N$, Time$=10\ s$
Therefore, acceleration $a=\frac{F}{m}=\frac{16\ N}{4\ kg}=4\ ms^{-2}$
Using the motion of equation $v=u+at$
Or $v=0+4\times10$
Or $v=40\ ms^{-1}$
Therefore, kinetic energy of the body $K=\frac{1}{2}mv^2$
$=\frac{1}{2}\times4\times(40)^2$
$=2\times1600$
$=3200\ Joule$
