A body covers a distance of $ 5 \mathrm{m} 20 \mathrm{cm} $ in 8 seconds. Calculate the speed of the body in km/h?
Given: A body covers 5m 20 cm in 8 sec.
To find: Speed in km/h
Solution:
5m 20cm = $\frac{26}{5}$ metres
We know that, $speed\ =\ \frac{Distance}{time}$.
Therefore, $speed\ =\ \frac{\frac{26}{5}}{8} \ =\ \frac{26}{40} \ =\ \frac{13}{20} \ m/s$
The speed in km/h is $\frac{13}{20} \ \times \ \frac{18}{5} \ km/h\ =\ 2.34km/h$
