1) What is force and mention the effects of force?
2) Is force a scalar or a vector quantity?
1) Force is essentially a push, or a pull action, that can lead to certain outcomes. It can change the state and direction of the motion of an object. It also can deform the shape and size of the object. Some examples of force are gravitational force, frictional force, etc. The SI unit of force is Newton.
Mathematically,
Force(F) = Mass(m) x acceleration(a)
2) We know that force is the product of acceleration and mass. Since acceleration is a vector quantity, force is also a vector quantity. it has both magnitude and direction.
