LocalDateTime toLocalTime() method in Java
The representation of the LocalTime can be obtained using the method toLocalTime() in the LocalDateTime class in Java. This method requires no parameters and it returns the LocalTime value of the LocalDateTime object.
A program that demonstrates this is given as follows −
Example
import java.time.*; import java.util.*; public class Demo { public static void main(String[] args) { LocalDateTime ldt = LocalDateTime.parse("2019-02-18T23:15:30"); System.out.println("The LocalDateTime is: " + ldt); System.out.println("The LocalTime representation is: " + ldt.toLocalTime()); } }
Output
The LocalDateTime is: 2019-02-18T23:15:30 The LocalTime representation is: 23:15:30
Now let us understand the above program.
First the LocalDateTime is displayed. Then the representation of the LocalTime is obtained using the method toLocalTime() and displayed. A code snippet that demonstrates this is as follows −
LocalDateTime ldt = LocalDateTime.parse("2019-02-18T23:15:30"); System.out.println("The LocalDateTime is: " + ldt); System.out.println("The LocalTime representation is: " + ldt.toLocalTime());
