Goals

Give learners a full understanding of Kubernetes to deploy, manage, and scale applications in a Kubernetes environment. This course aims to transform beginners into competent professionals who can handle real-world Kubernetes scenarios without hesitation, contribute effectively to DevOps teams, and help them grow their cloud computing and system administration careers. Students will be prepared for challenges in any modern cloud setting through demonstrations, detailed explanations, hands-on exercises as well as question-and-answer sessions which are interactive with the students. This course aims to teach you how to use the art and science of managing clusters efficiently using Kubernetes in all modern cloud settings

Prerequisites

Basic Understanding of Linux/Unix Systems: Familiarity with shell scripting and command line is essential as Kubernetes often requires navigating and managing applications via the command line.

Fundamentals of Networking: Knowledge of basic networking concepts, such as IP addresses, HTTP, TCP/IP, and DNS, will help learners understand how services communicate within and outside the Kubernetes cluster.

Experience with Virtualization: Understanding virtual machines and containers, especially Docker, is crucial since Kubernetes is a container orchestration platform.

Programming Knowledge: While not strictly necessary, basic programming skills (preferably in Python, Go, or Bash) can benefit scripting and automation tasks within Kubernetes environments.

Cloud Computing Basics: An introductory knowledge of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and experience with any major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) will be advantageous.
