Introduction to Electric Vehicle Technologies

Welcome to the course if you're interested in learning about electric vehicles and their functions, as well as the fundamental systems that make them up, their classification, influence, and development history. Upon completion of the academy, participants will be able to: 

Market survey: History of electric vehicles Why EVs and ICE vs EVs Global market scenario Market survey of EVs (India) 

Vehicle types and dynamics: Differences between BEV, HEV, PHEV, etc. Dynamic equations of vehicle. Modeling of the vehicle in MATLAB/Simulink Modelling of 250 kg e-Rikshaw. Concept of Drive-cycle.

EV Motor and Control Schemes: Fundamental of AC Motors (I & II), Popular AC Motors, Potential AC Motors and Control Schemes.

Battery: types and technologies Types of batteries and concepts of SoC, SoH, etc. Battery Management System (BMS). Charge balancing between battery cells for battery management (MATLAB/Simulink model). Modeling methods of battery ( mainly ECM ). 

Chargers and Charging Protocols: Type of chargers (AC-DC, DC-DC ) Working of the basic charger (Example: DC-DC charger). Modeling of DC-DC charger (Buck converter) in MATLAB/Simulink. Charging Protocols: CCS1, CCS2, etc. 

Policies: Policies in India FAME-1 and FAME-2 policies All of the lessons' basic theoretical content is made more palatable with a variety of images, diagrams, and videos. This course will continue to be developed and improved; additional lectures and materials will be added to aid in understanding the subject matter.
