In an electroscope, if a negatively charged body is brought in contact with the metal dip, the strips of the electroscope diverge. If now another charged object carrying equal amount of positive charge is brought in contact with the clip, what will happen?

When a negative charge and an equal amount of positive charge are given to an object, the charge will become neutralized.

So, if charged object carrying an equal amount of positive charge is brought in contact, the strips will become electrically neutral.

As the clip is neutral,  it does not exert any electrostatic force. So the strips will collapse.
