Given:
The cost of cloth of 7 metres$=Rs.\ 1470$.
To do:
We have to find the cost of 5 metres of cloth.
Solution:
Cost of 1 metre of cloth$=Rs.\ \frac{1470}{7}$
$=Rs.\ 210$
The cost of 5 metres of cloth$=Cost\ of\ 1\ m\ of\ cloth\times Length\ of\ cloth$
$=Rs.\ 5\times210$
$=Rs.\ 1050$
The cost of 5 metres of cloth is Rs. 1050.
