The length and breadth of the rectangular park are $175\ m$ and $125\ m$ respectively.
To do:
We have to find the cost of fencing the rectangular park of length $175\ m$ and breadth $125\ m$ at the rate of $Rs.\ 12\ per\ metre$.
Solution:
The length of the rectangular park $ =175\ m$
The breadth of the rectangular park $ =125\ m$
We know that,
The perimeter of a rectangle of length $l$ and breadth $b$ is $2(l+b)$
Therefore,
The perimeter of the rectangular park $ = 2\times(175+125)$
$= 2\times300$
$= 600\ m$
Since,
The cost of fencing the rectangular park $ = Rs.\ 12\ per\ m$
The cost of fencing the rectangular park for $600\ m = Rs. 12\times600$
$ = Rs.\ 7200$
The cost of fencing the rectangular park of length $175\ m$ and breadth $125\ m$ at the rate of $Rs.\ 12\ per\ metre$ is $Rs.\ 7200$.
