Difference between Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon
Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are both water-themed parks of Walt Disney World located in Orlando, Florida.
What is Typhoon Lagoon?
The Typhoon Lagoon opened on June 1st, 1989, and is operated by Disney world itself. The theme of this water park is Disney Legend. It is the second water park to open at the resort after the Disney’s River Country, which closed in November 2001. Typhoon Lagoon is one of the world’s largest outdoor wave pools. It was named the most-visited water park in 2016, with approximately 2,277,000 visitors. Typhoon Lagoon has many shaded white sandy beaches to relax. It has multiple attractions like Typhoon lagoon surf pool, bay slides, whitecap cove, blistery bay, etc.
What is Blizzard Beach?
Blizzard Beach is also operated by Disney world. This park was opened on April 1, 1995. Typhoon Lagoon is known as the sister park of Blizzard. Blizzard was the third-largest visited water park in the year 2016, having approximately 2,091,000 visitors. There is an artificial hill in this park called Mount Gushmore, which is the park's major attraction. Some attractions at the Blizzard are Summit Plummet, slush gusher, teamboat, downhill double dripper, snow stormers, toboggan racers, and runoff rapids.
Just like the differences, these water parks have a few similarities too.
Refurbishment of the parks is at different times of the year. Hence the visitors can enjoy either one of the parks.
There are similar and a lot of fun in both the parks.
Both of them offer similar kinds of hospitalities such as life jackets, lockers, dining places, etc.
Both have their major attractions and have similar places like caves, waterfalls, lazy rivers, etc.
