Char.IsLower() Method in C#

The Char.IsLower() method in C# is used to indicate whether the specified Unicode character is categorized as a lowercase letter.

Syntax

Following is the syntax −

public static bool IsLower (char ch);

Above, the parameter ch is the Unicode character to evaluate.

Example

using System;
public class Demo {
   public static void Main(){

      Console.WriteLine("Value = "+val);
      res = Char.IsLower(val);
      Console.WriteLine("Is the value a lowercase letter? = "+res);
   }
}

Output

This will produce the following output −

Value = K
Is the value a lowercase letter? = False

Example

Let us now see another example −

public class Demo {
   public static void Main(){
      bool res;
      char val = 'd';
      Console.WriteLine("Value = "+val);
      res = Char.IsLower(val);
      Console.WriteLine("Is the value a lowercase letter? = "+res);
