Boojho made the circuit as shown in the figure. He wanted to observe what happens when an electric current is passed through water. But he forgot to add a few drops of lemon juice to water. Will it make any difference to his observations? Explain
Distilled water is not a conductor of electricity. So, no current will pass through the circuit if the water is distilled if no lemon juice is added to the water as distilled water does not make ions. If the water is salty, then it will make ions as salty water is a good conductor of electricity. So current will pass through the circuit if the water is salty.
