Difference between enforced and unenforced license in SAP HANA

In SAP HANA, following permanent license type is supported −

Unenforced License: When you use an unenforced license key in SAP HANA and consumption of HANA system exceeds the license amount of memory, it doesn’t effect the operation of SAP HANA database.

Enforced License: When an Enforced license key is installed and consumption of HANA system exceeds the license amount of memory, HANA system gets locked. If this situation occurs, HANA system has to be restarted or a new license key should be requested and installed.
